    Default Trailer plates

Talk about strange. Paul told me a few weeks ago his plates were gone from his boat trailer. Then told me about how to get replacements. We took my boat last week and when I was hooking it up noticed the plates were gone. Now I have found plates laying in the water at boat ramps and since my plate holder (metal) looked like it had broke from being bent back and forth thought that was probably the culprit. Do not know what happened but you may want to do as I did and put a strap on the plate if it breaks off it will at least stay with the trailer.

Sounds like you either drive waaaay to fast, or some jerk is stealing your plates. I know plates sometimes fall off, but sadly I think the odds of a thief are better. Those punks don't know who they're messing with with you two!

I had my plates stolen at the boat ramp at Wapp. When I went to the license bureau, the lady told me it was pretty common. People don't want to renew their trailer plates, so they find a similar trailer on the parking lot at steal them

Several things can happen to trailer plates. I know they take a lot of back and forth when backing into and pulling out of water. But also easy to steal. Had to put a new plate frame on trailer because other one broke from tension from water loading and unloading.

While loading up the boat today noticed a plate with one bolt gone leaning and getting ready to be absent. Just saying a safety chain like on my boat cant hurt.
