Don't forget moon phase and sky clarity the night prior. I saw some things this year that changed me from a skeptic into a believer this past spring. I have no doubt in my mind that the spawn started for white crappie on Reelfoot lake at daybreak that day. 56 keepers from daylight to 10am

For years I kept a paper journal. A couple of years ago, though, I transferred everything to an Excel spreadsheet. The big advantage of the spreadsheet is the ability to sort and filter the data.
