    Default Custom Boat Covers

I have a new boat coming. Now looking for some place to have a cover made. I want one for trailering and storage. I want both snaps and straps. The person my dealer has used for years moved and no longer has space it takes.

A lady at Coal, MO made my towing cover for my Champion, it fit like a glove. That was 15 years ago, it's still in great shape. It was $500 back then.
No idea if she is still there doing covers or not. If so, she's a good one.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

Pat's in St.louis makes a nice cover, for an 18 ft bass boat it will run you about 750. Why would you want snaps and straps, I had snaps on my old boat and did not care for them ( they drill holes in boat ) plus they come loose over time. Straps with bungy cords works great One other thing when you get your cover get yourself some Star Brite waterproofing with PTEF, I have had my cover for 6 years now and it stays as dry as a bone inside, ( I have no garage so boat stays outside) I buy my Star Brite through Amazon around 40.00 gallon and put it in a gallon sprayer, works great.
    I Don't Know,but I can always use help

Aurora Canvas in Battlefield, Missouri makes a really good cover. They make a lot of covers for the boat manufacturers. 417-883-9811. You won't be disappointed.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Why snaps? I may get a boat slip at some point and can not cover the boat with straps if in the water. Snaps can be put on two ways, screws and pop rivets. Pop rivets with a washer on the back side is the way to go. Having a cover made with snaps cost more but is better but would also like loops for straps back up. My boat will be outside also, I have a carport in the back yard for my boat but not sure this boat will fit in back yard. I have had people tell me they would not like backing my boat into my back yard and that boat is a 48" floor, new boat is a 67" floor, old boat was 17" new boat 20' 3". Carport is 18' long 12' wide.

I had heard about Pat's before and had made plans for the last week of July back in June. I was looking for someone closer and a place other boaters had used.

There is a place around Warsaw that makes custom covers. Will run you around $850. Great quality and have a 5 year warranty. I will get the name of it tomorrow. The cover that came with my RT was made there. It is made out of the same materials that my factory Ranger cover that my glass boat had.
