Wow! What a great weekend of fishing and fun. I enjoyed hanging out at camp and visiting with everyone. Special thanks to the following fishermen and fisherwomen who participated in the 2nd Annual Clifford Shanks Memorial Big Crappie Tournament.: Tiny Tim, Mr. Caleb Shanks, Mr. Ed Shanks, Mr. Harold Coons, Mr. Jason Coons, Mr. Russ Minor, Mr. Richard and Mrs. Rhonda Campbell, Mr. Joe Abrams, Dr. Kirk Eidson, Badaxed, Bigby, sevenfiftynine, Keeferfish, JoeDog, Mr. and Mrs. CrappieCurt, Jigfisher, Clownfish, and 1 Rookie.

Another “thank you” to the following folks who donated to a great cause: Hookin’ & Cookin’, Jigging15, 1MObowhunter, LSL Angler, Mr. Don “Gunny" Cummings, Mr. James and Mrs. Janet Bachnick, Mr. Les Rains, Mrs. Sharon Timmie, Bigby, Bigby’s daughter (did not catch the young ladies name), Mr. Travis Williams and Mrs. Kelly Anderson.

A huge special thanks to Winner’s Circle in Cameron, MO for the donation of the tournament plaques.

I am sure that I missed someone, and I assure you that it was not on purpose. From the bottom of our hearts the Shanks family says "thank you". Dad loved crappie camp! We miss him so, however It is funny how being at a place he loved so much makes us feel that much better.

Through everyone’s generosity we are making a $900.00 donation to the Todd and Megan Jaros family to help out their four year old son Landon and his fight with leukemia. Again we appreciate everyone that participated and donated for such a great cause.

The 2nd Annual Clifford Shanks Memorial Big Crappie Contest winners were Mr. Richard Campbell with a 1 lbs. 12 oz. crappie and second place was Mr. Jeff Phillips (Jigfisher) with a 1 lbs. 8 oz. crappie. For good measure Bill Keefer (Keeferfish) turned in a 1 lbs 2 oz. crappie that finished third. Mr. Joe Abrams also weighted an even 1 lbs. crappie too. Crappie.com people are some of the nicest people on Earth. It should be mandatory for everyone to take a weekend fishing trip....the world would be a better place. I even think I have Mom convinced to come down next year on Saturday!

Dad always said that it did not get much better than this! I have found out that he was right!

We double our donation to the fight against leukemia this year. Those that did not fish I urge you to consider fishing next year as we will do it again the Friday of camp weekend! Take care and thanks again!

Glad to be a little part of helping raise money for a great cause. Next year I should have some more time off and be able to be a bigger part of camp. The shirt auction went well on short notice. I would like to see a auction next spring to raise even more money. I know I can come up with rods, baits, reels etc from my sponsors to be donated towards an auction fundraiser. I'm sure others can come up with items to be donated also. Would not even have to be crappie or fishing related. We for sure need some of them "Team Shanks" shirts also. It was great seeing you boys, Harold and your friends at camp again. Even if that means Rich Campbell comes with you. Hope to meet your mother next year also.

Glad we raised that much money, my daughters name is Mariya. She only had three dollars on her but she said she wanted to give it for the child. Made me proud. : )
