    That might explain a lot.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

    (1) Know very little about slip bobbers but struggled with traditional bobber stops of various designs, especially when sitting several foot deep. Fellow suggested unwaxed (important) dental floss, tie a hard knot at depth needed, cinch it down much as possible and trim the ends.
    (2) When Monty unbuttons the side flaps of those 30 year old overalls and starts airing himself out put the trolling motor on highest speed available and exit the immediate area.

Seen a good one about storing loose hooks, put them on a safety pin to keep separated and from ending up all over your box.
I posted the tip about the hooks and also the swivels.(I saw it on another post somewhere). I made an enhancement to it to prevent the pins from slipping out of the compartments on my Plano box when I turned it upright. I added the split ring to keep various sizes together and also now to large to slip out of the compartment. The split ring goes through the loop on the safety pin so you can still take off one item without removing from the split ring.

Looks like your post took a few detours off the subject too. What are friends for??
