    Default Veteran's Non-Profits question

So I don't know if this is on topic or off topic. I'm looking to move to the Poplar Bluff area hopefully by the end of the year. Currently I live in the Denver Metro area out in Colorado. Apart from my full time job I am the Public Information Officer for a Non-Profit called Patriot Anglers. We take Veterans and their families out fishing at no cost to them, minus having a license. I'm wondering if there are any organizations like that in the Southeast Missouri area since I would love to continue giving back to my brothers and sisters that are Veterans.

I've tried Google searches and it seems to be a mess to navigate through. I know being a Veteran and picking fishing back up when I got out helped me a lot with dealing with stress.

    Thank you in advance.

That is down in Specks area so maybe he will have an answer for you. I know there are tournaments on the lakes where the veterans get to fish with another angler that has a boat. Hope you find out and pass on the information. A big thank you for serving for our country.

Welcome to the MO board. I personally am not aware of an organization in this area but would love to participate if there was one. You may try contacting the VA office in Poplar Bluff. Maybe they will know of organizations like you are talking about. Thank You for doing this. Let me know how I can help.

That is a possibility. I have talked with our CEO with Patriot Anglers about opening a Missouri Chapter. He's open to the idea but I have no clue about running something like that.
