    Default Easy Quick Deck Extension

I posted this on BBC and thought someone on here might want this idea or maybe get an idea from what I’ve done.

I extend the open area on the deck of my BassCat by making a cardboard template and taking it to a local plastic company who cut out a piece of ¾ inch plastic or whatever they called it. I got the carpet from BassCat and just glued it on, It just rests on the lip or edge that Cats have and even with no support has no or very little flex and nothing but friction holds it in. Works great. You could even add lids or storage if you wanted. I just use the open area underneath. By the way the plastic wasn’t Cheap!

I did this after my Minnesota trip and having myself and two teenagers trying to fish out of the front of my boat. I almost went swimming several times.

Nice job Bill. Now you got enough room up there for a couple of "Big Ole Boys" up there.

Looks good. Thought about doing the same to mine this winter, because some times I don't look where I'm stepping, more deck would be nice.

Looks good Keefer. Best thing I ever added on my ranger.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

And with all those aerodynamics fixed, I bet you won't spin out anymore hubs from that Harley Davidson you call an outboard!!!!!
I believe in catch and release.....right into the grease!!!!!

Looks great, it looks like Delrin plastic we use at work, strong stuff but I would put a support in the middle because the weight and heat of the sun will eventually make it sag. We use 3 inch blocks of Delrin at work and they even warp.
