    Default TNM fixed

Got the part today. Hubby put it on. Crap. Wasn't that. Nothing to loose. He opened up the motor housing. Well dang. The plastic that holds the brushes had melted. Went to barn and got broken transom mount motor. Don't if they will interchange or not. The housing that holds it onto boat was broke. Opened it up and got part out. Looked the same. Just needed cleaning because it was rusty from leak we didn't know about. I used vinegar to clean it up. Trying to keep brushes in place while putting motor back in was the hardest part. Got it all back together and YIPPEEEE it works. Back in business. To make sure those joints don't leak going to put some silicon caulk around them.

We didn't have a clue the old transom mount had leak into motor part. But was full of water and rusty when hubby opened it. I thin from now on when we get a new TM we will put some silicone around the joints. Can't hurt anything.
