    Default Hummingbird mapping software

Buying a new fishfinder. What is the better mapping software. LakeMaster® and Navionics® Platinum?

I haven't heard lately, but a year or so back the Navionics weren't very good on Truman.....only went so far into creeks maybe. The Lakemaster was better at that time. Maybe they have improved?

Brian at BBG Marine recommended Lakemaster when I bought my 899. I am very happy with that software. Used navionics before buy on the 597 so they are hard to compare.
God bless Charlie Brewer and Bobby Garland.

Love my LakeMaster mapping. Love being able to change the contours when lake level is high or low. Also like the shallow water highlight. I have mine set at 5'. So everything that is less than 5' is red. Makes it nice when exploring new areas or even when cutting the islands and across the flats. Really makes them shallow water humps stick out.

Let me know when you do that and I'll tag along for some trails......and lets go ahead and stop at all the good "crappie gittin' " spots too.
