    Default Motel/cabin Truman lake area

Planning on a trip to Truman lake/LOZ area to look at possible retirement homes and want to bring the boat to checkout the two lakes. Would like to find a motel/cabin that is a little cheaper than the Parkfield inn (the only place we have stayed in the past ). Does not have to be fancy just clean and good parking and hookups for the boat. will be coming in the middle of April. Thanks, Frank

I stayed at Grand river Resort for crappie camp. Right In Racket. Reasonable and clean. Helpful staff. Fish cleaning station right by the office.
God bless Charlie Brewer and Bobby Garland.

I've stayed at Hidden Lake before- it is cheap and decent for the money. Don't know what ones are open in the middle of winter though.

Shower house at bucksaw is free, at least it was for Joedog but it's closed until Spring. Sorry.

Don't know if your a vet or not but Ft. Leonardwood has a place called LORA its on the web. I think they are open then and have several cabin/mobilehome type units. Middle of April will be a good time to be looking around. Also if your a turkey hunter season will be open pretty close to then.

I have camper near Grand River resort. I have always heard good things about.
The best part for you is that it's location is perfect to do some looking around for that retirement place.
you can go many different directions to different arms of the lake from there.

You can't beat Bucksaw for convenience, good access, good fishing, and good people. If you want to retire close to good fishing, you will want to be closer to Truman. If you want investment property on the water, go to LOZ. It is possible to have both, I guess.....buy a lakefront place at LOZ and keep your fishing boat up at Truman
