Greg even with your knowledge I am not getting in the boat!!!
thought I'd start a thread where we could share some winter scenery as a way to kill some time while the water is too hard to fish. I hate cabin fever!
with the current on the MO river it doesn't ice up for too long during most winters but this year we have already seen a couple runs of ice and we are just now getting into the really cold stuff... did I mention I hate cabin fever???

Been watching the ice flow on the Dundee Web Cam. Had to go to Wally World for cold meds and had to buy fishing stuff. Husband 2 new rod and reels for panfish and me an 11 ft crappie rod. Which is going to be hard to get use to because I usually use 5 ft rods. I guess I can reach out to there house now.
Perch, I think you'll like the longer poles for dabbling around the brush once you get used the longer stick. I have a 10ft wally marshall and love it for everything from crappies to catching bait to catching huge carp on mullberries. it's become my go-to rod most of the time.
Richard, don't worry, you won't get any phone calls from me when the thick chunks are out there! but all we need is a few days in the 40-50 degree range and we are back in business so it won't be too long and we'll get something set in stone.
Bucksaw marina Friday afternoon.
Nice pics Greg, cabin fever is really setting in here. We had about 5 to 6 inches of snow over night with more on the way and supposed to be 12 below in the morning and below zero all day, with the wind howling. Even Thomas Hill is a no go for a few days.
ice is nice especially in a glass prolly tie some jigs for a day or two
Downsea, beagle man LIKED above post
That chair is in my favorite spot, the outlet pipe where they release all the big crappie from the tournaments......now everybody knows where it is.....
A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
