X2. Its a heck of a good time with a great Bunch of people
Quick thanks to everyone!
There is A LOT of things that go on at camp and I just want everyone to know how much we all appreciate it! Setting up, cooking, and providing sides, supplies, drinks, cleaning up and just good conversation.
(Someone even showed just to cook!)
Almost forgot the free ice (SNOW)
THANKS Everyone!

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
Yep good camp, good people, good food bad fishing and weather and Smithville guys ? Thanks to everyone that helped !!!
May all your live wells be full.Dave
Thanks to everyone as well...the floor show was a little diminished this year due to inclement weather (and moderation in consumption, possibly...) but it is all good.
Hats off to you guys who stuck it out in a tent. I think if I was one of those who had the snow cave in my tent, you all would have found me curled up in the fetal position whining for my mommy!!!! And there would have been the possible smell of urine in the area cuz that woulda scared the pee waddin outta me!!!
This is definitely one camp we will all be able to talk about from here on out!
Score= Mother Nature 1 CDCers 0 but we will never throw in the towel!!!!
I believe in catch and release.....right into the grease!!!!!
That was all kinds of a good time. Weather be dammed!! Glad to meet many new people.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
Thanks for all your work to Gordon. Your storage unit came in handy keeping things dry over night until we needed them the following evenings. Also huge thanks to Buckwheat and his wife for coming over with the cookers and frying up a fabulous meal for all of us. Another huge thanks to Jim at Bucksaw for letting us use the pavilion Friday and Saturday evenings. To many people to thank for all the other things that made it go as best as it could with the weather. As always it was a great time and we will do it again this fall.
It was great to see everyone again. Thanks to Buckwheat and Clifford for frying and all the other cooks that cooked up some fine side dishes. Again I was able to bend some ears and get some great information. I will get that elusive limit one of these days. I am getting closer. The weather was a shocker and the power going out in the camp loop made for a memorable camp. It may have people retreat a little earlier than usual but did not dampen the sprit of friendship and fishing. Thanks again to all.
It was a great weekend. As usual with spring camp, it's the friendship-not the fishing-that makes me pack the truck and head out when the forecast would make any sane person stay home. I can't think of a better time, or a better bunch of people to spend it with. Special thanks to Buckwheat, Cliff, Harold, and everyone else that pitched in on the cooking and side dishes. Also to Jared, Gordon, Bigby and everybody else that hustled tables, coolers, tarps and supplies back and forth to the pavillion for meals. Also have to thank Dave (Gotcrappie) for the awesome hand-tied jigs--my wife told me they were too pretty to fish with when she saw them! Finally, thanks to my roomate, Double D, who let me share his nice dry room at the lodge--I had a great time fishing with you Saturday and hope we can do it again soon!
See you all at fall camp!
A HUGE THANK YOU to all the guys and gals who worked so hard cooking, setting up/taking down, organizing, etc. A special thanks to Jigging15 for all he does for us from making reservations as early as we decide on a date to working his tail off during the whole event. We'd be in a sorry state without Jared.
