Ditto! Frankly, I don't see the big deal. I've gotten a 20-22 pound bird every year for the last thirty years............................................. ...FROM PRRRRIIIICE CHOPPER!!!

No, I'm not talking turkey, I'm talking spoonies and shrooms. I've had wild turkey and like it, but won't got through the PITA to get one. Deer, I like it too, I get one killed for me yearly, pay the processing, eat it all before fall hits and the cycle begins again.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

Jack them turkeys would just laugh at ya anyways. They'd be like look at that gewber over there sitting in a Ford with a fishing pole hanging out the window
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

I don't know anything bout the Red shrooms. Do they come up before the morels, or at the same time? Anything different about locating them, or will they be in the same areas as morels? Thanks! Love eating morels, but will be a bit here in Iowa... it's snowing today! =(
Just one more cast, I promise!

I find my reds in more rocky terrain than the whites. This last bunch was in a creek bottom growing right out the side of the bank. If you have never ate them go sparingly the first time you do, some people get upset stomach from them. Myself I prefer them over whites. Good luck. And them come up first around here.
