How does one find one that is well matched?
I've had three in my life. We fish with the same intensity, share expenses, get along, FOCUS on fishing when on the water.
I'm in between right now.
Current applicant is coming up short in the "focus" dept.

LOL they are out there. Fortunately I have one that thinks a lot like me. But we still butt heads at times. I just about got him trained though. :D. Jk Duncan
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
Training em, that's the chore. My last fishing buddy, he would be up and out at 3am for deer and turkey... bitched to the end of the earth about me picking him up at 7am to drive one hour to Truman. Finally we had the heart to heart... no more bitching... just snoring in the passenger next to me in the truck. Miss that guy. His wife messed that one up.

They are REAL tough to find! But yes they are out there!
few and far between out lived several fish by myself alot
Hard to find someone that realizes the expenses that go into owning a boat; insurance, maintenance, gas, oil, all the gear in the boat, bait when needed. They buy a couple packs of jigs, one rod and reel and think they should go every time.
just fish by myself or one of my boys eseyer that way
I'm lucky, fished with some good ones over the years and fortunately have some extraordinary boat partners at present, they help make trips enjoyable and help me learn every time I go out. I'm no picnic to fish with, they're saints in my book. May everyone be so blessed.
