No thats not me, I'd love to fish the river sometime. I get lots of days off. What kind of fishing do you do on the river and which one. Somewhat limited on cat rods but may be able to remedy that.
I mainly fish the mo river for blues and flatheads. be glad to ave ya along sometime and I have all the gear we need... I also bowfish carp a lot.... but the river is too full and mean to fish now, and my boat is in need of some TLC so it'll be a few weeks before I can get out there again. if ya want, maybe we can work something out somewhere down the line.
Sounds cool, Working man said to say hi.
you are lucky to find one in a lifetime I had one but he passed away in 93 of cancer at age 33 Ive yet to find any one else that comes close
Trust me I know what you mean Gordon. My go to guy got a promotion and now he can't get off of work to save his life and when he is off of work he needs to spend time with his family. My wife and I both love to fish but we just had a new baby boy five weeks back and so that puts a damper on us going because baby sitting is hard to come by.
New goal 16" crappie by December 30
I've made a bunch of fishing buddies from Crappie.com. Beagle, TallTimber, bwillaub, drfishjd, Yikess in no particular order. I have spent many enjoyable hours on the water with all these guys and learned something from each one. I couldn't pick a number one fishing partner because they are all tops in my books. I must admit though, on the rare occasion that my son gets to go with me.........that is probably my favorite.

My normal fishing partner is Bwillaub and we enjoy each others company. I have learned a great deal about Crappie fishing from him. The first CDC member who was gracious enough to take me out was Monty. Well, this one time my PAL Bwillaub extends an invitation to a newbie and volunteers me to pick him up. Soooo, I get to enjoy this guys company for 'bout 90 minutes on the drive to Truman. At the time, I owned a new 2010 F-150. This guy gets in and promptly puts his feet (with shoes) on my dash so I respond with GET YOUR F#$%^&* feet off my dash. It's kinda quiet for the next 89 minutes or so after that. His tackle consists of a tackle box 'bout the size of a Volkswagon and a 5 ft rod. Told him to leave the tackle box in the truck. Bob is gracious enough to lend the guy one of his new 10 footers which he drops repeatedly on the side of the boat. I'm secretly waiting for Bob to "accidently" drop this guy overboard, but it does not happen; a testament to his patience. He also brought a cooler to take his fish home in which he leaves in the bed of the truck. On the way home, first time I hit the brakes the cooler slides forward and crushes my new 9ft rod. I believe I made it back to Liberty in about 20 minutes from Truman, an all time speed record untouched to this day. Before leaving for work each day I cruise the parking lot where I picked him up hoping to see him just so I can run him over. Mind you, I have fished with Slabs running mate Tom Tom and would have rather had a 15 no, 18 inch crochet needle run thru my eye, but this guy topped that. True story.
