Thread: DANG what a load

Yesterday afternoon while driving back home there was a tractor trailer pulled over on highway 50 just west of Union. There was an oversize load pickup in front. then the tractor trailer with this HUGE tube like thing. The front of it was closed like a missle or something. Then behind the first trailer was another trailer under the middle of the tube followed by another trailer with the back end of the tube on it. Then another tractor was attached to the back trailer with what looked like a steel beam. The back of the tube thing was open. behind this was another oversize load pickup. They were headed east. Don't know if they were having trouble or maybe waiting for a police escort through Union. If they were headed to go east on I44 I don't know how they would make the curve onto 44. They couldn't be traveling to fast. Would hate to get stuck behind that thing. Don't know if the other tractor in back was used for propulsion, steering or both. Never saw anything like that before. Wish I had a pic of it.

We had one of those come through awhile back. They said it was one of those giant windmills they generate power from.
