    Default Spider rig seating

I hope you all can help me with the type of seating you all use for spider rigging. I have a xpress 18.5' and has a large front and back platform. I'm thinking of purchasing a couple of seat post plates and putting them on my front deck. I have also seen a couple of adjustable seating and stationary seating that attaches to the boats front seat post plate. I know some use the 2 seat tubular seat holder that can be gotten at Grizzly Jig or other places. I'm not sure about this one as I'd hate it breaking with two big old boys or it falling off the deck from excitement. Once again thank for you input and what a great sight.

The double seat base that Grizzly Jig sells will hold you guys with no problem. Most of the weight is on the outside edges and it is tough built system. Looked them over too while I was down there. OneBadChampion picked one up. He and his partner are good size boys. I am sure it is more stable than the Add-a-Seat that I used the last 3-4 years. Only down fall i see to it is they are heavy and can be a pain to move from back deck to front. I had the same style four legged bases for a year or so. Easy seat had its own 4 legged base. They are around $40 at cabelas. They were a little heavy and a hassle to move also. I would like to install some bases in mine also but scared of putting them and not liking them. I like to be able to move them around a little for different size people i fish with. Cumberland has a nice setup but a little pricey. DoubleD bought a nice setup that looks as tough as they come. It was made by a member on here that makes seat bases as well as holders. Maybe he will chime in. Some of the best riggers I know use $15 folding chairs. So don't think to much into a perfect setup.

After researching ourselves, we had Wayne @ Dub-L-Seat build us our set-up....... I think Wayne is still a member on here and makes a great product, I just don't know if he's still in production or not???? He was really backed up with orders the last time I talked to him.

Here's a picture of our set-up..........don't mind the ugly dude in the middle. Dad and I are both 200+ and it holds us just fine.. excellent product!

I've got that one, yet to use it, but have it all the same. Looks well made for the money.

Probably what I will end up going with this time. Little more sturdy than my Add-a-Seat was.

Hey, thanks again for all the responses. Thanks for all the links, and a great picture. I like pictures of the different fish people catch. Those seats do look very sturdy and some nice fish too. I really like the idea of being able to move the seats farther apart if needed. Like Jarrod said if I put the new bases in and don't like the arrangement your stuck. I've thought about making my own but by the time you get the materials your about at the price you can buy them in some cases. I'll have to sit on this one a while before I make my decision. But I'll be ready for camp. I'll get some pics up when I get it all set up. Thanks again guys.

Already got this one on order. I looked at them for a couple weeks. The Dub-L-Seat looks nice too, just couldn't afford it right now. I should have mine by this weekend.
