Thread: twain gathering???

My wife and I are in!!!! We have a camper at Big Larry's and were up there just about every weekend April - December. This sounds like a lot of fun.

family and kids are ALWAYS welcome where I come from. my 4 year daughter and wife will be right there fishing and camping with me. might have a niece or nephew with me as well. that's what it's all about in my world!

from what I've read so far, it looks like the state park would be the most favorable. but nothing is decided yet. your right, the 107 ramp is great and the state park campground is right there on hwy 107 before the first bridge. I know they have electric on most sites and I think they have full hook ups as well. I don't use a camper so I am not sure of that, but I know for sure they have electric, water and a dump station. the roads are paved, there are playgrounds for the kids, walking trails and nice showers and an ok in house boat ramp with a nice cleaning station. and nice big firepits to sit around at night!

it seems as if there are quit a few people on board, so where do we go from here? do we need to call the campground and tell them what we have in mind, or just set the date and the campground loop and start makin' reservations?

The 1st and 2nd of June or any-time works for me we'll be there, just need to know when and where. Are there any cabins?I've only stayed at cannon dam cabins and used RB boat ramp. I'm from Iowa and would be staying in a cabin so I need to make reservations as early as possible,if there ain't any cabins I'll talk the wife into sleeping in a tent It's my birthday on the 5th I'll use that as leverage. Thanks keep us posted

Sounds like a neat opportunity. I'd for sure be interested. I really hope its a time Catman can make it as he has shown me a lot of what I know. Oh...and he's a magnet for those fish.

Any ideas on a location for Twain gathering? I'll be down the 28th of March till April 1 my family and a buddies family go down there over Easter weekend every yr,hopefully the weather will be good and we can boat a few my sons bringing a friend that never had the chance to fish from a boat so thought Twain would be neat for him to be on. Keep me posted thanks and good fishing
