    hows the acorns looking around the state?? here there are some whites but they are really small. haven't seen any others. sure am glad I got good rain on myfood plots last week!
    Not many white acorns this year where I hunt . I think the drought had a major effect on the hard mast this year .

    I went to check out a couple local spots this evening, on the way home I saw a big 8 with a couple of other deer. he had a real narrow, tall rack with bladed tines and already out of velvet. got my blood pumping!

    I ordered my MR 5 by Mathews last week and am still waiting on it. Hopefully it gets here soon.

    Been seeing a lot of does and small bucks the last few days, had a pretty good size bobcat come under my stand last night.

    got out sunday, nothing, was just looking around for some of the does that hang around the barn area, zip... got up this morning around 9 am and two young deer in the front yard,,,, not big enough to shoot, but nice to see....

    a big goose egg for me this saturday. wind was swirling around in the dry wash I was in, no good. I quit early and went and planted yet another food plot with buck forage oats. still have 3 months and a week to get her done!

    I was out Sat and Sunday. Seen a ton of deer and three really nice legal bucks, tried to stick a doe Sat morning, but she wouldn't cooperate and take the trail with my shooting lane cut out!!

    sounds like a good weekend, Buckeye. I was out again this evening and had a doe within 30 yards of me, just couldn't get a shot. first sighting of the season for me. almost....
