Also check a Lowes out! Think you will like their layout better. Almost purchased a G-3 until I saw a Lowes.

My opinion good decent boat, company backs the product well, and yamaha is a dependable outboard. One caveat, choose a dealer wisely. Good luck.

Yeah Kaz has that right! Find a good dealer selling boats is very hard! I got screwed on some of my dealings with my dealer! LOL they are out of business now! I was never to much into yamaha and I have always had mercury myself and that is what Lowes has on it. They all run the same!

If they're closed now can probably figure who you bought from. No names are necessary to post but they were not focused on fishing boats which in my opinion is at least a place to start when evaluating dealers. Glad your boat is doing well.

If you would rather have a Merc. then put one on it. Dealers that want to sell one will work with you. G3 is a good boat. It was in the final cut of 3 boats when I was buying.

Not impossible but it will be more expensive to do a merc on a G3, just like putting a yamaha on a tracker or a lowe is going to run the final ticket up. Good luck, I'd buy either in a 4 stroke, both are good.
