Thread: Table Rock Fish

Hey boys and girls, Im taking a trip to the Springfield area next mont. My brother moved out there and lives outside a small town called Clever. He is going to take me out on the Rock when I get their. He really has only been out on the lake a few times but says he is catching a few fish like he has never seen. He said they look like a goggle eye with a big mouth but they are black in color. Do you guys have any idea what they are? He said they are prety good size so he filleted them and said they taste great. So if you have ever seen or heard of them PLEASE let me know.....THANKS.

Sounds like Black Crappie. I caught one yesterday in a small cove, so know there are a few in the Rock. Also caught two White ones with a Black streak from the dorsal fin to the nose:D
