Gotta admit I was thinking the same thing as I was reading your post..........................way is this in the off topic? (move it bugs)

That is a great looking Thumper Kit.

I also have to say that this is one of the most informative, interesting posts I have read in a very long time.

Thanks Kit for taking the time to post this thread.

    EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

As far as posting in the off topic. I do idiotic things sometimes. I didn't realize I was in the off topic when I made it. I'm only 38 and sometimes I don't know where I am. But I have to admit where I'm at in my mind is often a much better place than where I physically reside. Except when I'm fishin.

    Bugs,
Go ahead and move to the main forum.

I need to get a ruler in the boat that has big black numbers on it. The Golden rule I uses has the lines stamped and don't show up in pictures.

Nice thing is someone else still has a chance to catch her.

if you clean up your ruler really well with soap and water then wipe it down with isopropyl or denatured alcohol you can paint the numbers. Don't worry about overfilling the etched numbers as long as you wipe the excess off with a rag. The paint should stay in the etching just fine. Problem solved.
