Ed: I want to take the time to personally thank you for "The greatest fishing site on the web". I was a fishing guide on the Mississippi River for over thirty years and I am still learning thanks to your site.

The people who I have met on this site (Especially the Missiouri forum) are some of the nicest people I have encountered in my life. After meeting these people in your forum, they invited "OTD" and myself to thier "Crappie Camp". The hospitality and friendlyness of these crappie fishermen to extend that invitation to virtually strangers just floored me. I have spent most of the winter getting to know some of these extraordinary people via your web site.

I have come to the conclusion that Crappie fishermen are very special people. I am so glad I found your wonderful site.
"OTD" (crappie.com member) aka; (Bruce K.) has invited you to come up and fish with us on the mississippi river this summer. I would feel honored if you come up to fish with us. thanks again for all your hard work in creating something special. Randy R., aka: "badaxed" on crappie.com

I will second everything he said. This a great site. The fishing info is great on here. But the best part for me is the frienships I have made with guys and gals from this site. Most of them I had never met until I was stepping into there boat or they were stepping into mine. I would say I have fished with close to 30 different members on here and would have any of them back to fish with me again. Camps are another great way to meet some great people. Badaxed and OTD are coming down a week or so before camp to fish Truman. I am going to get out with them during the first part of their trip to try and help them get on some fish and save them some time trying to find them. I have never met them but have no worries that we will not have a great time fishing together. Helping others out doing the things we love to do "catching crappie" is what this site is all about. So I would like to also thank slab and allthe others involved in keeping this site up and running for us.

Badaxed & I are located about 25 miles South of La Crosse, WI with a local address of De Soto, WI. As noted we fish the Mississippi River with emphasis on Pool 9 & 8.

I know I can speak for Badaxed regarding extending you all an invite to join us on the "River" when & if any of you get to this area.I am a stone novice compared to Badaxed when it comes to fishing & especially crappie fishing. He has forgotten more about fishing than I will ever know. He is what is called a "River Rat" (that's a good thing). He will be happy to share his local knowledge and like all you good people on this forum sharing your crappie knowledge, he isn't afraid to help those not familiar with river fishing. A few locals keep their spots and tricks to themselves. Not Badaxed. One of his sayings is "I can't catch all the fish in the river & I really enjoy watching others catch fish"

I too want to thank all on this forum for being so kind & generous to us. Really look forward to our trip with an emphasis on meeting everyone we can and second, catching a few crappie.
