A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
You're lucky to have seen it live, Gary.
I had to go out to youtube to watch it in action. Man! Tough not to puff up a little bit when American ingenuity meets American military expertise! Truly bad-azz!!
Fishing upstream from Windsor bridge last year and an Apache helicopter came up lake, flared up over the bridge and then took a path directly up river and not too high coming straight at the boat. It was a Depends moment. Can't imagine if one of those beasts was bearing down on you knowing it meant you harm.
I am quite enthralled with them whether it be the jets or the helicopters when they come over. I'm like Mrs. JJ, I have a hard time keeping my eyes off them.
I always think how lucky I am to live in the US where these "guys" are friendly to us and don't strike fear in our hearts when we see them flying overhead. We are very lucky! I have the utmost respect and admiration for the men and women who protect our freedom every day!!!
Can't go wrong with depleted uranium armor piercing shells.

Polvo you can say that again! We got to tour a tank graveyard at one of the FOB's in Iraq. Pretty crazy to see how much damage those things can do.

Im dumb. whats a star burst???
Before I had a boat I fished Tebo Creek off C highway alot, I would walk up the creek bank and fish the tree stumps. Thats when they were still using the Cobra Attack helicopters, they would fly down that creek bottom almost every weekend, first you would see I guess it was a spotter helicopter (very small and fast) come down the creek then about ten minutes later you would here the Coba's coming usually four or five at a time. They would fly under the power lines that go over the creek and come up to the hill on C highway bridge and skim over the highway then back down in the creek bottom. What a sight that was, they would wave at us on their way by.
