Minn Kota Powerdrive/Terrova Tolling Motor Advice

I am looking to buy a Minn Kota Powerdrive/Terrova with autopilot. A buddy of a buddy that works at some marina said these things are plagued with problems. They get about half that are bought returned due to problems. For all of you that own a Minn Kota Powerdrive or Terrova, what do you thing of the trolling motor and have you had any problems? Any advice would be greatly appreciated – thanks.

I WAS IN MY LOCAL BOAT DEALER ABOUT A MONTH AGO AND ASKED ABOUT THEM. I WAS THINKING ABOUT UPGRADING FROM MY MOTOR GUIDE THAT CAME ON MY 2008 LOWES BOAT. THE SERVICE MANAGER TOLD ME HE LIKED ME TOO MUCH TO SELL ME ONE OF THOSE! HE TOLD ME TOO MANY OF THEM HAD TROUBLE! AND HE SAID IT WAS HARD TO GET MINN KOTA TO STAND BEHIND THEM.
