I don't have much experience with it, so take my recommendations accordingly. I had alot of trouble hanging the bottom hook on a Capps and Coleman rig, so I switched over to a Kentucky rig (sinker on bottom) and it helped alot. You still have to watch for the line to draw back when it's on a tree and catch it before the rod bends, pull the rod straight back, jiggle it loos and put it back in on the other side of the tree. Weedless jigs make life a little easier, and tipping with a minnow will make them hold it longer. I'm sure some of the more experienced trollers will have better advice. Good fishing.

stinkbait I have never done much trolling thought I would give it a try this year, mainly I troll between dipping trees or while looking for new cover. I started using the Bobby Garland Stoll'R using it on weedless 1/8 and 1/4 jig heads. It comes through cover pretty good most of the time but will hang once in a while, the real surprise is the size of the crappie that it hangs up in! The electric chicken with a hot pink head has worked best. Hope this helps you out some and good luck!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, rather to skid in sideways, body used up and totally worn out screaming 'WOO~HOO what a ride!'

Not nearly enuff, Chris2. Well, like I always tell everyone when I'm talking to them about this site. We have our "Master Jiggers" and we have our "Master Baiters". I am of the "former" persuasion. :D

HEY!!! I just noticed I got a promotion!! I had no idea I had that many posts. I would have made my 2000th post something very special.......maybe even about fishing.
