Most Of You May Know What This Is, But For U That Don't I Have Some.... They Look Like A Minature Spoon I Mean About 3/4" Long And In Different Colors Mostly For Ice Fishing Up North..... I Am Thinking ..i Paint My Jig Heads Mostly Chartuse And That Bright Orange..... I Have Never Had The Patience To Just Fish This With No Body On It, Why I Think It Would Work.... Many Years Ago And This Is No Bull Butter.. I Used To Work At Peabody Coal And Had To Start The Pump At The Lake About 5 Am Every Am.... So I Buy Cheap Rod And Reel And Take To Work, Then Check Out A Trebble Light From The Store Room And Seal It All Up With Rtv And Attached A Large Nut On It To Sink It, Then Sank It At The Pump House And Plugged It In.... Take Me Some Minnows Next Night And Catch Quite A Few Nice Crappie, Well I Am Putting One In This Basket Cage I Made And Just Left My Rod Hanging There With No Minnow On It And Bam Another One, They Were Hitting The Gold Hook Shinning In The Light.... Never Used Minnows Again.... So Why Would Just The Jig Head Work.... Going To Try It Sometime But Not This Weekend......

I know that it will catch crappie, a few years ago I met up with some friends during the spawn, we were having a great day fish biting everything anywhere. My friends wife went to make a cast and the tube she had on the jig went flying off the hook and the jig landed in the water, so she hurriedly cranked it in to put on another tube and a fair crappie nailed it! And thats my story and I'll stickin' to it!

I think sometimes fish don't take the time to evaluate what they hit. It's there, I'm hungry......blammo or it's like when a guy is at a party and sees something that looks like food but isn't quite sure but tries it anyway.

I think you should fish with a tree branch, vine, and rock this weekend so I have half a chance.:D Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow if you plan to be around Bucksaw.
