Nice catch. I couldn't be more envious!
Brought my boat home from my in-law's farm today and got it ready to fish. Will hit a nearby lake across the river in Iowa on Monday that was 2/3 ice on Friday. It was giving up nice crappies and some walleyes two weeks ago before winter decided to return, but we've warmed up really good and the ice is hopefully history now.
I can't wait to get to Pomme on Friday with my dad. A couple CDC members are really helping me out with my plan of attack for the crappies, so I'm looking forward to seeing what we can get done down there. Hope to taste some of the success the rest of you have been enjoying, and some deep fried crappies too.

Mike
Mr Baker where did you catch those fish?
My neighbor and his son caught 48 slabs in the Gravois arm on Thursday and 43 on Friday using white Twister Tails on the points. I'm giving it a try tomorrow - I've been hybrid fishing at Thomas Hill but I guess it's time for crappies now.
Thats some big ole black crappie!!!!! WTG Mr. Bake. Those will eat good.
