    Thumbs up Mustang PFD

Mrs JJ and I bit the bullet and went ahead and invested in the Mustang PFD. I have to say after using them yesterday and today (no way Mrs JJ was going to take hers off in that wind and rough water on Truman today) we really like them They are very comfortable. Just thought we would post this to recommend them if anyone else is thinking about upgrading to this type of PFD.

Also, bad as I hate to shop at Bass Pro :p - they had them on sale when we bought them and they might still be (during the Fishing Classic)

How much and do you have any pictures of you sporting your new PDF and a crappie? I really would like to see what they look like on front and back. I was just looking at the ones in the Bass Pro catalog and I am trying to figure out the back??

    Default mustang pfd

We bought ours ayear ago, they are an investment, but so worth it. We wear ours all the time on the water, they are comfortable and lightweight. I would recommend them over normal life vests anyday. We bought ours onsale at BPD got a great deal.

I like mine very easy to wear and isn't bulky or hot.
Fishing is always good. Catching is sometimes bad

I bought one (a automatic/manual) last year and put it in a boat compartment and never used it. Then one day I decided to use it when I was going to be fishing out of another's boat. On taking it out of the compartment I saw that it had gone off in the compartment inside the plastic bag it came with. I had been fishing in the rain at one time and hadn't checked the compartments.

After recharging it I decided to keep it in the truck and start using it since I had put the money out for it. I kind of was thinking that I wouldn't like adding it to my already bulky winter garb. To says the least I was really amazed that I did not notice or feel as though I was wearing anything extra while using it.

Anyhow I'm now convinced on them and now anxious to see how they are to use in the heat of summer.

my fishing partner has a mustang , i have a sterns. i will tell you right quick that the mustang is twice as comfortable as the sterns. if i ever have to buy another i will get a mustang. i went the cheap route with a sterns that was on sale. i regret it every time i put it on. the sterns is also a lot harder to put on. it always wants to catch around my collar when i put it on. the mustang goes on so smooth i dont even think about it. just some info that might help keep someone from making the same mistake i have made.

After your posting I checked mine as to which brand I had and found it was a Cabelas brand. So I don't know who the real manufacturer is of mine. Anyhow I like it.

Just got back from BPS in Independence. They had the camo automatic mustangs that are normally $189 for $129. The store employee said they marked these down because they ran out of another one they had advertised. Seemed like a good deal.
