Just polished off a batch of bluegills caught through the ice up here last month. Sprinkled some lemon pepper on 'em and broiled to perfection. My wife is a cardiac rehab nurse, so the frying is kept to a minimum. Well, except when I go on fishing trips with the guys. Then we fry everything in sight!
My wife whips up a great salad that goes well with fish, regardless of how you cook your favorite fillets. Chopped up cabbage and apples with unsalted peanuts and raisins dressed with plain yogurt. So easy a cave man, er fisherman, can do it.
Try it sometime. You'll really like it.
