slipbobber the whites are there on the james but they are a little hit and miss till this weather settles down I am guessing the next week and beyond will be good for the whites and the crappie soon after. on the kings river talked to a couple guys that have been doing real well on the white bass and not to good on crappie, but they fish the same way for crappie as they do for white bass, and no I didnt try to explain what I thought about it, just figured there would be more crappie for me If I kept my big mouth shut, now on the kings river up the river past the flat, I call it hickory hollow some call it park davis flat or bluff any way from viola go south past the power lines, on south go past the boad docks on the right in the cove then make the lazy right and have a ball the whites are from the ski bouys all the way to 86 hwy. good luck

I'd put it in a bucket and use it to weigh down some crappie condos

Your rock could be a Stone county Easter egg and you just found it a little early.
