Welcome from Big Niangua arm of LOZ.

If current isn't too bad, small trees in there could be a honey hole in the spawn.

ah, u are in a good area for sure,,,i would think most anything you place in that cove especially on the right bank coming out towards the mouth or main channel would stay without to much wash off,,,,good luck

I was born and raised in Nebraska.......was drug here by my soon to be wife from San Diego.....where we met while i was in the Navy.

We will probably be moving to Olathe a year or two after our wedding (which is in May) we have been looking at the 66061 area (i think thats the code)

I love it out there, up in Nebraska we pay a HUGE amount in taxes but cities like Omaha are known across the country and now world bc of how great the city is.....that is a direct result of the tax payers money. Omaha has the most fotune 500 companies per captia in the US. Google, Ebay, Berkshire/Hathaway....etc

I like nice roads, quick snow removal, great schools (Nebraska had 11 of the top 50 places in the United States to Raise children in 2006, Missouri had ZERO) and overall great neighborhoods, which is definitely noticeable in parts of Olathe.

I hear the crap that Johnson county folks get from Missouri folks, but to me it just sounds like sour grapes

I am a firm believer in "You get what you pay for!"

its 60/40 right now between Omaha and Olathe.......and that 60 is growing everyday....of course it doesnt hurt that this part of Kansas and pretty much ALL of Missouri has absolutely FANTASTIC fishing!

Anyway if you ever need some ideas on how to build those I have come up with a few of my own....some are definite money savers, especially when it comes to finding PVC

PM me if you ever have any questions!!!! GOOD LUCK!

I know of at least one top place to raise children here in the greatstate of Missouri............i had a hand in raising plenty of em and every damn one turned out just fine.........Missouri had zero is a load of bs just because some overpayed idiot convinces people that their state/town is a superior place to raise children because of higher taxes is a joke:rolleyes:

I am with you Bugman. Get out of the city would be the first step. I would raise my kids in any town in my county before I would raise them in Omaha or Olathe.
