Default Spider rigging seat location question

Hi all. Many of you saw my "new to me" Skeeter at camp. I am going to get some changes made to the front deck and I have a question I wanted to pose to get the collective wisdom of the board. My front deck has a recessed trolling motor pedal. The existing pedestal mount is too far forward, so that the pedal is right at the base of the pedestal - too close. I'm going to have a second pedestal base added back 9-10 " - as far back as I can without getting into the front storage box. I called Skeeter and they said that the front deck is fiberglass, and that I will need to get the carpet pulled back and have the second pedestal base glassed in. As long as I'm going to that trouble, I'm thinking that I should have them glass in two more pedestal bases (flush under deck mounts) for spider rigging seats. The boat has a good wide deck, so there's plenty of room. Are there any constraints that I should be aware of? Don't forget that the trolling motor pedal is recessed. How far back? How far apart? What do you think? Thanks for the input.

    Jim

jim ,go to the main forum and then go to the second page, scroll down to the post titled $53.00 dual seat (i think thats what it said)looks like all you would have to do is extend a flat piece forward at the center point and let it hook up to the existing base,,which would move the seats back,,just a idea,,hope it helps,,fuzz

thanks, Fuzzy. You're a good man. Enjoyed seeing you at camp. Let me know when you can come up to Truman and we'll spend a couple days on the water.

And for the ones that want a quick click I think I'll do something like this as well. I just hate to mount a lot of stuff in the deck, this way I remove it and you'll never know it was there.
