we put in at bucksaw this am, murky up and no hits at all, and cold as heck, another cdc member had caught one when we talked to him, we loaded and come home, went to try out my new DI unit anyway.......... but the fishing flat sucked for us........
It's freaking cold, but I'm charging the boat in hopes to get out around noon or so. Is it even worth fighting the cold?
This cold front shutting the fishing off?
Just wondering if anyone else is sitting around with a little cabin fever having the same debate i am. Thinking of running down to Berry Bend or maybe Bucksaw.

A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
From what I've known in my history checking this board, if you ain't catching 'em, I doubt anyone else is.
Not looking good, but think we'll still go just to get out. Might try around Berry Bend.
Appreciate the update olesilverside.
Thinking about heading to Smithville. Make sure the old boat willl run and to see if I can find a one or two to bite. Hate to get out there when there biting good and have to use my trolling motor.
Big Red
haha, yeah, better to find that out now before they get hot.
Kind of my thoughts too, just bought a couple new poles and eager to try them out. Hopefully something will be on the other end.
I figure bad day on the water, is better being stuck home with the ol honey do list getting pulled out, and it's already been long enough this Winter.
If you hit berry bend.......... good luck........ my old stomping ground and still is at the right times........I wanted to get out and try my new DI unit anyway, glad we went but froze our hinnines off...... better days ahead.......

Some of us retired guys don't fish on weekends . Leave that to the guys still working. Have a nice day but it's still only 36 degrees
Truman has got to start getting better soon.
If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
I heard a couple reports yesterday of some very very big fish being caught in the Grand arm. One report was from one of Trumans best guides that some of the best fish he had ever seen are being caught right now. Water is muddy and nasty but find the right spot and some good ones are there to be caught. Can't wait to get out and try to find some. Below Truman dam should be heating up before long also.
Probably should have but I just ran mine out and backed it in to make sure it was going to start and run. Fortunately it did so I guess I have no excuses now just gotta get out and go.
