Default How is Mark Twain Lake

    Hey anybody!
I am coming over for the HIcKS Fall gathering on thursday. Can anyone give some info on the fishing? I will be staying at Timber ridge but we trailer the boat just about anywhere during the weekend. Any Pointers or just a good Guess would be helpful. Also what is the lake level like? I tried to find it on the net but don't know where to look.
    Thanks a Lot
    Jeff

Best spot to check for lake level is cannondam.com or southforkresort.net. As far as fishing havent been in 2 weeks.

Lake is 20 ft high and falling 6-8" a day. Crappie were bad before the deluge, and they probably haven't gotten any better.

Jeff I haven't been on the lake in about 3 or 4 weeks but was on durring the high water ealier this year and the falling water. Had the most luck around the dam area on timber 8 to 12 feet deep on minnows in water from 22-30feet deep.

The water is at 628 and down .66 over the last 24 hours, normal summer pool is around 606.

Hope you find some fish, the fish we were catching last month were nice size with the largest just over 14 inches, still had to work through small fish but the bigger ones were there too.
Feathers, Fins & Fur. catch it, kill it, fry it or grill it
