Looks like bait to me Bob. Bring some to Windsor crossing at 7:30 in the morning. Brian and I are heading for the quarry if you want to go along.

It is bait. The best catfish bait I have ever used.
Wish I could join you in the morning, Jared. We have company coming in Saturday and I have to finish the bathroom remodel before they get here. It's the guest bathroom. Would love to another time tho. Rain check??

Good luck. Tell Brian I send my regards.

Well I guess you will not run into Slab Buster Jack and me. We will be above bucksaw.

They look like tent catepillars - you know those worms that eat up the trees and leave nasty looking webbs.

ok - so they are not tent catepillars I looked them up on the web and it says you can freeze them in sawdust if you want to preserve them. I doubt you will find any in our freezer - don't think Mrs JJ would go for that at all but then we don't fish for catfish either. The web site did say they are very good catfish bait - something about the green slimmey insides tastes sweet to the fish :D

They aren't only good for catfish...big bluegills and bass also love them.
I don't think I have ever tried them for crappie..but I bet they would
    catch them, too.
