    Thumbs up Crappie Slayers Tournament

WOW was it hot out today! Thanks Brad for a great tournament and the hats, PB Jr. and JLT Jr. thought they were great! The tournament was fun but the fishing was tough. PB Jr. and I only caught 8 keepers and had to weed through 100 dinks to get them. 20 teams and we ended up 13th, with the 5th biggest fish at 1.2. It was great to see Beagle there when we came in, sorry I did not stay and visit more! I was hot and JLT dumped his fish in our bag so we had 16 to clean and load the boat to get home. I had to drive through the storm to get home and man that was a lot of wind. Oh, Richard Bowling and partner won with 10 lbs something and also big fish.

JJ you need to thank JLT for the info even though Mrs. JJ's fish weighed more than ours I still had a bigger fish!:D You know they say bigger is better!:D I think the JJ's ended up with 12 fish. JJ next time you ram your boat into the tree I am fish I am going to ram you will the Pole Bender Express and we both know that is going leave a mark on that Purty Red Boat you fish out of!:D

That's right Bender, it was damn warm. I also want to thank Brad, looking forward to next month. Did not get a chance to meet you Bender, maybe next time.
Nice to meet the J.J's. Wouldn't mind taking you up on that fishing offer sometime Gary, sounds like we would have a good time. Maybe I will learn something.
We brought in our 10 fish limit but still only placed 12. Had been catching good quality fish for the last few weeks but sure couldn't get on them today. Still had a good time anyway.

it was nice to meet you also JJ. would had like to have visited with others but it was soooooo darn hot and we had 28 fish to clean when we got home. the fish were scattered all over for us. where we did our best was 16-18 feet of water on main lake points. lost one at the boat that would have gotten big fish easily. why is it the big one ALWAYS gets away?? It was interesting to me to hear the different areas people caught there fish. Some caught fish on drop off's, while others caught there's on main lake points, and we caught ours along bluffs with trees. I thought I had a good plan and when it did not work we had to go looking. I wish I would have tried pulling some cranks, did anyone pull any?

Beagle, have you been hanging out by the fish cleaning station holding that "Will clean fish for food" sign? Man, you're copying all of my best tricks. At least you can post (as I do) - cleaned 27 today. Ususally most folks think I had a hand in catching them. One of these days I'm gonna have to try buying a boat. . . :D
Jim - Have boat - will travel.

It was a great time and thanks to Brad. JJ, I am sure you will have some usefull info. for me at some time. JLT, Jr. lost one at the very end that would have helped our standing. These boys really like the competition. I am just glad I did not melt. I do not think I left the AC on Sunday.
