It's that global warming!
58 degrees this morning...don't get me wrong,I'm enjoying keeping the windows open and smaller electric bills-but this is the middle of July.
Kinda strange
It's that global warming!
Hey Cook, Ryoko and I were on your end of the lake this morning...north of the power lines. Cool beautiful skys, muddy water, no boat traffic... and not a bite. I was ready to go home but Ryoko wanted to stay until she caught something. It was nearly noon by then and the rest of Kansas City had come out to play. Rough. Tied up under the "W" bridge on Owl Creek... Always good for some small crappie. Ryoko finally caught a keeper and, as I laid down my rod to open the cooler, she cried "Your rod".... It was scooting across the deck with a 3 1/2# channel tugging on it. Lot of fun on a 10' rod.

Our weather patterns have been screwed up for 2 or 3 years now. Winters are unusally mild and summers can go either way. In SW Missouri we had our annual rain fall total by the 1st of July and it's still coming. That's why the fishing is so screwed up this year down here. I would rather have to much water than not enough, but I farm for a living. Later, Ship
Ship,
How can you farm and fish. You is in mo. and it will get better.

Hey Cook I'll trade ya!! My low is 90-95 and my highs here are around 115-130!! Throw in the 30 mph+ sand storms and the lack of crappie fishing and this place is pure heaven. Just givin ya a little hell Cook!! Hope all is well back there and that the fish are biting! See you all in November.
