Ship I didn't clean the fish I let my neighbor have them. We ended up with 10 all from 10 1/2"-14" I didn't notice any thing on the tails but they all were firm bellies and dark in color. All our fish were caught along the steep bluffs 12' down and over deep water. Orange head purple and pearl slab buster tipped with nibbles. Water temp was 62-65 along the protected bluffs and cooler in the open water areas.

The ramps are still under water and some are launching by Bridge Port but there is parking for only a few rigs and you have to back down in off the highway and pull off the road after you launch. The Core park has limited parking also and if you want a spot you better be early. Table Rock was at 929.80 yesterday and thats still 15' over normal pool. There not drawing it down very fast. I had 2" in my rain gauge from the other day. Until it quits raining and they keep dropping it I don't see the ramps to be good for another month.

I went up today and spent most of the day in Birch branch looking for scaley critters and there were none to be found, not even a bite.
The only bite I did get was the $52.00 it took out of my wallet to get there and back in gas.

Momilkman, this is what worked the other day at Birch, supended about 12 ft down. Bite was real slow and Frosty and Nitro were slow trolling with jigs and nibbles. They should be moving towards the bank with the weather that were having. What was the water temp? It was 61 to 62 when we were at Birch on Wed. Later, Ship

My temp gauge quit working on me and my depth finder is older than methusala so it dosen't have it on it.
I was fishing the right depth 25-30 but I guess my problem was I wasn't trolling. I was dipping next to structure.

Oh well, give me a reason to go back and hit it again.

    Thanks Ship

    Default Stockton Update

Fished Stockton on Sunday. Didn't get there until around 10 am. Water temp. was 64 to 67 deg. Fished against the banks hard--- nothing. Then slow trolled 15 to 30 foot of water and caught good size females (up to 14.5 in.) loaded with eggs, they were approx. 10 to 12 foot suspended and hit hard. Blk/Char. slab buster with nibble worked the best. I caught a total of nine keepers, had to fish hard to get them. The spawn still hasn't started, should be any time now with the water temp. going up. BTW, launched at Ruark. Later, Ship
