Well, I guess I'll be the first casualty of the gas prices. Toronto 3 weeks ago, Grenada this past weekend I've been shooting through my fishing budget like Rosie O'Donnel at an all you can eat buffet and now gas here is $3.37. I figure 5 tanks of fuel, fuel for the boat, cabin for 2 nights, bait, food, beer, license for me and Speck Jr. I'm looking at a $1000 trip for a weekend. Not counting an 8 hour drive each way. I guess I'll catch the next get together hopefully a little closer to home.
With that said, there is a cabin open at Debs. I'll call Friday morning and cancel mine if anyone wants it. Good luck guys. Have a great time and drink one for Speck.

Sorry to hear you won't be there, Speck. Can Jared and I borrow your "secret weapon"?: Hope to see you out on the water soon. Come fish Truman sometime. Take care and be safe.

Sorry you can't make it Speck. I certainly understand. Drfish and I are watching the conditions out there. If the fishing forecast is good we are in. If the water is high and muddy we may back out ourselves. As much as I enjoy the fellowship, with the spawn on at LOZ and Truman and the cost of the trip to Toronto, we probably won't make the trip just for 3 days of drinking.

I'll agree. So far, forecast isn't looking too good. And I've come down with a nasty, spring cold to boot. I'm thinking real hard if I want to go or not. I'll know in the next couple of hours.

Thanks guys. To rub a little salt in the wound, I took my boat to the shop Monday because it had developed a miss. The mechanic called today and said there was a little oil in the #4 cylinder and it was firing intermitently. He had been on the phone with Yamaha. They gave him several things to test but he said there might be a problem with the cylinder!!! Oh well.

Jim, Mike, Speck you guys or more than welcome to ride out with me. I can even pull a boat out for you if needed. I am just 20 minutes from Truman. You guys make it that far and I will gladly come get you. It would probaly make since to car pool anyway. Maybe even fish three people to a boat to save fuel of pulling more boats out there than needed. That goes for you to Jamie and Monk. I could save you two half of your trip. Sounds like we will have plenty of cabins now. And more 3lb. fish to go around.
