Good luck, I havn't been back to Bush yet as I was at LOZ over the weekend and today I actually had to work my lunch but I'll be back there later this week. Let me know how you do on Truman as I am going down there Friday to spend the weekend slab hunting down there.
I'll be fishing the bucksaw area in warsaw or is it tightwad? Anyways its bucksaw I know that much.
Let me know what colors your getting them on at Truman please.
The crappie fishing on Truman shut down while I was down there. I caught five decent ones on Saturday and a couple on Sunday and only spent a few hours on the water on Monday (one keeper). I fished three hours Tuesday (today) and caught a couple but they were 13 and 14 inches (females with eggs). I mainly fished 2 feet down under a slip bobber close too the banks and near trees. I tried deep and mid range but didn't get bit at all doing that. I saw a lot of marks over the channels at 14 feet deep but catching them was a no-go. I did the best on a blue and white jig- It didn't seem to matter if it had a crappie nibble on it or not. I caught a few out of cedar trees, so try them when you run across them. I caught my Saturday fish on the steep bank on the left side just down stream from Bucksaw Marina- it was out of the wind and it did produce somewhat (5 fish). It seems our group did as good or better than everyone else we talked to that was fishing the lake at the time. Good luck- maybe the weather will stabilize and they will come back to the shallows soon.
