Don't forget to be thankful for all the times you don't have a cold and the boat is working great.

As Beagle says. It'll get better.

Glad they got them before they moved to this area. Sounds like they had some brains to go along with their balls.

Could have been worse- a buddy gave me a stainless prop (22" pitch) years ago I've been keeping as a spare, so all I got to do is buy an aluminum for a spare (or another SS if the price is right). I did buy a McGard locking prop nut system while I was at BPS though. I should have bought one, say about 2 weeks ago! It does make me wonder about my gear I like to keep in the boat during the summer though...

You guys should look into a composite prop for spares. A very inexpensive way to go for a backup. I know a few guys who run them all the time on Truman. If they tear one up they are only out $60 to $80. I have heard they will break off without hurting lower unit also.

I've seen those. When selecting the pitch on a composit, do you use the same number as an aluminum would be? I think a lot of people use one inch lower in pitch for aluminum, compared to a SS prop. (or is it vice versa?)

Bruce Carp- what pitch prop do you run on your Aluma-Weld- and is that SS or aluminum? When going with aluminum, do you go UP in pitch to be equal to SS or DOWN in pitch? I know there is a difference between the two- due to flex of aluminum compared to SS. I think my prop was a 21 pitch but my spare is a SS 22" with a cup. I think they run about the same, but I was wondering if my boat was propped the same as similar rigs (17 ' Aluma-Weld H-51 with a 100 hp Merc.). About $350-400 is what I would estimate its worth
Be careful, they maybe wanting to come back for the new one also. Back years ago when people stole tires would do that. They got my tires like that.
