    Default So many Newbies

Hello I'm Terry McDaniel from Montreal Mo. I'm 51, married 30 years this May to Kelley who I enjoy life with. I have 2 kids thats graduated collage and they both have jobs."YA-HOO" I have 3 grandkids that I enjoy very much. I work for a school district as a mechanic. I was raised on a farm on the Gasconade river where I spent alot of time hunting and fishing. My Grandparents had a place at Camp Passover on the Glaize arm of LOZ for years where I got to spend alot of time through my school years. Every body should be so lucky. I was to busy making a living and raising a family for several years to fish much till a few years ago when I bought a boat and I'm trying my best to wear it out. I figure every fish I put in the freezer makes my boat a little cheaper. I'm not sure if my wife believes that but she dose enjoy going with me if the sun is shining and its above 70 degrees. She don't fish unless their really biting. Kelley is also great at motoring me around to my jugs. I love catching crappie but I fish for whites and hybrids and I love to jug for big catfish. I put some crappie beds out with jug fishing in mind so I can do both. I fish by myself alot because most of the guys I fish with are fair weather fishermen. I will go fishing any time I have time.I'm looking forward to the crappie camp this spring.
    Good fishing TMcDaniel

    Hello bugman
No I'm not related to Gaylord but I know him. We've pulled garden tractors for years and we have pulled at Gaylords place at Brumley. I think I know Mcdaniel Cove as Patterson Cove if its between Passover and McCummins on the opposite side with a creek running in at the back of the cove. Great catfishing when the creek is raising. I would like to go sometime but I haven't fish the Glaize much in the last several years. I mainly fish the lower Osage during cold weather. I fish mid Osage arm, Big and Little Niangua during warm weather after the big boats come out. I'll check back after the winter series to see when we can get out and catch a mess. I could use a tutor with spider rigging. I need some advise on what equipment to look for to get started. I'm taking one of my grandsons fishing tomorrow. Don't know how long we'll be out sometimes a 8 year old gets bore easy.

Dang you two may as well be related growing up in the same area and fishing the same place for all those years. Pretty cool how this site can put people together that way. Never really knew each other but probablly brushed shoulders in a local store or passed each other in a boat going down the creek fishing. Pretty cool indeed. Welcome to the site and take Bugman up on his offer he sure knows that area of the lake very well.
