    Default Loz 12-29-07

Got on the water at 8:00 am. Threw the jerkbait until 12:30. One fish. Put down the jerkbait and picked up the long rod. Started verticle jigging brush piles in the Glaize. By 3:30 had gone through 20 keepers. 15 of them between 10 and 12 inches.

Same pattern. 8 to 14 ft. deep. Chart. head, pearl body. Water temp. 45.

Just can't make the jerkbait work, but I won't give up.

Irregardles of popular belief, the Glaize arm is not overrun with boats. Only saw two other boats all day. There is plenty of room for everyone.

Sounds like fun Mike. Always good to hear LOZ reports from you. I'm gonna have to get back up there soon.

    Default Good work, Mike!

You're right in that it wasn't crowded -- I think I only saw a couple of boats go through our arm all day.

I didn't have as much luck yesterday as I did on Friday. The bite was SLOW for me. Only 7 keepers as opposed to a limit in that crappy weather on Friday. I tried about every color jig in the box yesterday and nothing really stood out.

Yesterday was a beautiful day to be out fishing, though.

maybe baller and i will to see you on the water mike! i think if you wanna see bug's and monk you only got a short short window. i'd say from 7 am to maybe 7:15. you know cuz they claim there so good. however me and ed actually like to fish and enjoy the day, regardless of the bite. i'm kind of partial to stick'n with it even when it's tough. that's why they call it fishing i thought. as for some of the other's (no names ) they give it 30 minute's and if there not hit'n they are back on the couch watching oprah and eat'n bon bon's. ive figured we got two kind's of fisherman on here. the one's that enjoy fishing regardless of how tough it is. then we got the one's who just wanna catch ALL THE TIME. my dad alway's use to say when i was a kid if you went out everytime and just slayed them that it would'nt be as enticing to go. unfortunately i've never had to worry about that but i believe he was right...who's coming down monk, i heard there were several people meeting over at truman to fish next weekend
why do today what you can put off til tomorrow, go fishing instead!!!
