Okay so one little thing went wrong...did you catch any fish? :D
I was headed down the Mississippi River earlier this afternoon and heard something thumping the back of my boat. I pulled into the bank and raised the motor out of the water. Nothing seemed out of place so I took off for the boat ramp again. When the boat would get up to speed, the loud thumping would start again. When I would slow down, it stopped. Back at the ramp, Speck Jr. and I pulled the boat onto the trailer and up on the parking lot, Jr. said "Hey paw, your transducer is missing". Sure enough, the transducer must have broken out of the mount and was slapping the back of the boat. It finally must have broke the cable. Oh well, I guess I'll call Humminbird in the morning and order another one.

Been there. I sure felt like a dummy when I stopped twice and couldn't figure it out. Oh well, be glad it wasn't something in the motor.

I got my transducer for my Eagle in the Bargain Cave at a Cabelas. Saved me $50.00. Call the nearest cabelas and see if they have any in their Bargain cave. They usually have several Humminbird and Lowrance tranducers for some reason.

We're just livin on the edge, aren't we? Frankly my definition of a "good" fishing trip is if all my gear works and I don't tear anything up.

They are willing to undercut most anybody.
