Hi Guys, I got this from a friend that fished Stockton late Friday. I was surprized that he found the fish so deep but I guess the warm weather has them screwed up too. Later, Ship
Jim,
Connie and I fished from 6:30 pm until 10 pm. we caught 14. 8 were keepers that were from 11 to 13 inches. connie caught 1 keeper (ha!) and I caught 7. she got hers at 17 feet and I got mine at 25 feet. water was 78 degrees. we were fishing in the same area as that guy in the e-mail you sent me. not quite as far up as he was though. just as were getting ready to leave connie hooked up with a real nice fish. the way it fought and the way the line just cut i'm pretty sure it was a good walleye. she cussed! we got everything with medium sized minnows. i tried a jig with crappie nibbles on it for awhile and got lots of hits but i could never hook one. must have been little ones.

I fished Stockton south of Mutton and found one keeper crappie by the bridge pilings 20 ft. deep. Worked mouth edges and middle coves to no avail. Found fish at 6:00pm in the back of a cove 8 - 12 ft on standing timber. Pulled three keepers and a few dinks before it got dark.
Managed a walleye, three drum and about (20) 4" largemouth bass.
Bass musta had a good spawn this year. Hope the crappie did too.
