After our day Wednesday, I figured I might as well go again this morning and try to beat the wind.
Forecast was for light winds this morning with a wind shift between 1 and 2pm. Launched the boat at about 8:30 and made our way back to our spot. No messing around looking for anything on the way back. Dropped the lines down and we’re on the fish right away. Size was better today with a lot less dinks .Whereas Wednesday the bite was definitely on the left side of the boat, it was much more even today. We were catching much better quality today with most of the keepers being from 10-12 inches. We knew the wind was supposed to kick up starting about 1pm but was beautiful up until then. After struggling to get the last 2-3 fish we put the rods up and headed to the ramp. The wind was blowing so hard it was tough staying in the channel on the way out and a bear trailering the boat.
Everything was between 6.5 & 8.5 FOW. Same rig #2 tru-turn red hook on top with 5/16 Oz lead sinker over 1/16 Oz jig.Name: IMG_3224.jpg
