    Default Slow and Cold

By February standards it was amazing outside, but of my last few trips, it was FREAKING freezing!

Took my daughter today. We were overdue for an outing together. The crappie have been on fire so we headed out.

Tebo has been a great bite but so many shorts and lots of similar reports so we tried the Grand up from Bucksaw.
I planned to spider rig but my daughter has never used the live scope and wanted to do that.
Well I was in scout mode and took like 45 minutes for me to get it working in forward. Didn't help at I had the ducer backwards.
So we loaded up some fresh BG plastics and I spun the ducer pole around to show her my jigs and there was a fish. "Hey watch this", and WHAMO a 12 incher on the deck. We might have landed 1 or 2 shorts (the boats around me were getting shorts too), but we definitely did NOT boat anymore.

Her attention to live scope was waning so we packed in and moved further up the grand where I could spider rig.
Not long after I pulled into that cove the other 87 boats all left. I took it personally, but I should have just taken the hint.

I caught a nice blue that looked like a snag but thats all I caught the rest of the day. My daughter boated 2 more big blues and 2 crappie.

Anyone looking for blues should go to Pretty Bob.

I agree. Nothing replaces time spent on the water with your kids. Memories for LIFE.

Quality time for you and your daughter. Sounds like a great day to get out on the water. Nice fish!
If we did what was most important in life there
