    Default A little strip pit fishing (with pics)


    My buddy has some strip pits down near Montrose. We got a late start and only caught some small bass. He had put a brush pile out when the ice was thick. When we got there the pile hadn’t even sunk below because the water was only 8-9 FOW. Still had green needles on the limbs but the crappie were there after only 4-5 weeks. Turns there was a large area of that 8-9 foot water and they were just scattered all over. Kept 15 crappie and 6 bass. Weather was beautiful.Name:  IMG_3201.jpg
