My guys are calling saying they are Wrecking the crappie!
but you look at the forecast and it's gonna be below zero. Dang I am in need of some serious thump therapy and dying to head up to my cabin and get the wood stove roaring and see my guys.
but that whole below zero thingy? I'm not that tough anymore, nor was I ever really, to get out there and brave conditions like that even if it's only on a dock.
After the very mild december where I had a lot of family in so didn't get out, now really regretting it.
Plus on a lake website they are showing ketchn some biguns of various species especially the Preferred one.

Fish today or tomorrow and then take a week or so off and see what happens. That's my game plan. Fishing in single digit temps with the wind blowing is not in the plan, this isn't Minnesota. Hope you get some before the cold gets here.

You can catch them from a recliner. Them ice fishing guys up north with their ice houses, some have recliners in them with ice holes right next to them. Have all the comforts of home.

Mother Nature is going to make all the decisions for us. I would guess that by Monday the water is going to get hard. If I lived in Iowa or Minnesota I could be talked into ice fishing, but Missouri? No no no.
